Our Story

MAUI CANCER RESOURCES (MCR) was founded as a nonprofit in 2017 by Dr. Bridget Bongaard, a Board-certified Internal Medicine Physician, to provide clinical navigation, wellness education, and emotional and physical support for Cancer Patients as this need was not met in Maui County.

MCR provides the only clinical navigation services to collaborate with YOU.  We help you create a personalized care plan to clarify information about diagnosis and treatment, know what questions to ask, and pull it together to make balanced decisions along your cancer journey. We also advocate good self-care practices and teach you how to implement these to improve your outcomes and quality of life.

MCR will educate you with weekly virtual support groups, online tool kits, a self-care skill set video library, cancer fighting kitchen series, and quarterly DayTreats which provide multifaceted support, and personalized self-care education.

Maui Cancer Resources (MCR) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization based on Maui and was established in 2017. We are currently supported through donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax deductible and are directed straight into services for our patients.
