Having Fun in the Kitchen making healthy meals!
Our mission is to empower cancer patients through teaching nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals that promote health and healing, and cancer prevention.
Thanks to a Bayer Grant in 2024 we have provided quarterly hands-on workshops for 15 survivors, providing nutritional education, and teaching cooking skills to help you provide nutritious and exciting meals for yourself and family.
We flew to Molokai twice and had fun presenting the workshops (including a local grocery store visit) to over 35 survivors! Meeting our goal to support more cancer patients and caregivers in underserved areas, we helped to meet a critical need for accessible, culturally grounded wellness programs across the islands.
When you register you will experience:
Creating a three-course meal that all participants prepare together
Instruction on recipe reading, prepping and cooking different foods
Cancer prevention strategies using nutrient-dense ingredients
Meeting a celebrity chef who leads the class and provides expert insight on food as medicine
Evidence-based discussion on cancer prevention, healing, and overall well-being through nutrition
Fun and a lively exchange with fellow participants, and time to reflect on your journey
Dates for 2026 are: January 17th, March 14th, June 13th, September 19th
